Join a leading acute-care hospital in Winston-Salem, NC, as a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing care primarily for stroke patients and other neuro diagnoses.
Job Details:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years with 1 year of direct Med Surg experience.
- Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT accept 1st Time Travelers (must have at least 2 successful contracts before applying).
- Locals Accepted: Yes, with a rate difference.

The unit primarily cares for stroke patients and also manages other neuro diagnoses, such as epilepsy and traumatic/non-traumatic subdural hematomas. The facility features a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and trains nurses for this specialty, although this typically does not impact travelers unless they are trained.
Travelers should be aware that if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to the end of the contract to compensate for those dates. If a traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, they will need to make up those shifts based on the unit's needs. Frequent floating may be required, and if a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day within the same week or at the end of their contract.
