We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg and Telemetry for a contract position in Knoxville, TN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a complex medical unit within an acute care setting. First-time travelers are welcome!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital.
• Active unencumbered TN (or multi-state) RN license is required; pending licenses are not accepted.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Cerner EMR experience is essential.
• Must pass a basic dysrhythmia interpretation test and medication test during orientation.

Additional Information:

• Ratios: Vary according to need, but typically 1:6.
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend.
• On-call requirements: No.
• Request Time Off (RTO) restrictions: Entire weeks during the holidays will not be approved; individual dates are negotiable based on staffing needs.
• Open to accommodating block schedule based on patient and unit needs.
