We are seeking a competent and dedicated Travel RN specializing in Telemetry to join our team in San Marcos, TX. As a Travel RN, you will practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care in a telemetry unit. You will provide both routine and complex care while managing the clinical situation effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Meet expectations of the applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:

• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
  • BLS required (AHA only)
  • ACLS required (AHA only)
  • RN License in state of TX or compact

Position Requirements:

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member, and initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation.
• All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.

Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM

Work Type: Full Time
