Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neurology. This contract position in Baltimore, MD offers an opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patients in critical care settings. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory support throughout the hospital, collaborating with Rapid Response Teams.
• Manage ventilators and deliver care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomies.
• Perform airway management, including extubation, intubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
• Conduct bronchoscopy support and sputum specimen collection.
• Administer chest physiotherapy and arterial blood gas collection and interpretation.

Requirements:

• 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required; RRT preferred (CRT candidates with 5 years of experience may be considered).
• Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings is mandatory.
• Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilators, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems.

Additional Information:

• No float requirement indicated.
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required.
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract.
• No RTO on hard-to-fill days like Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
• Local candidates are accepted.
• Charting system utilized: Cerner.
• Scrub color: Charcoal/Dark Grey.
