We are seeking a dedicated Rad Tech/CT professional for a travel contract position in Chicago, IL. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential imaging services to patients.

As a Rad Tech/CT, you will be responsible for reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures and equipment, and ensuring their understanding and cooperation. You will prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within your scope of practice, while continually monitoring patient conditions and reporting any changes as appropriate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positioning patients and performing imaging procedures.
• Analyzing results and identifying issues with imaging quality.
• Taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.

Facility requirements include:

• BLS certification (must be attached to the submission; must be through the American Heart Association).
• ARRT certification in RD & CT (must be attached to the submission).
• Associate degree in radiologic technology; completion of a CT technology certificate program preferred.
• 2 years of recent experience in Radiology & CT.
• Ability to float between X-ray & CT departments.
• Shifts will be (4) 10-hour shifts plus 50% on call with every other weekend.
