Join our team as a Travel CT Technologist at a leading healthcare facility in York, ME. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and advanced imaging technology. As a CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services in the Operating Room (OR) setting.

Qualifications & Personal Qualities

• Associates Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible, with a state of Maine license.
• BLS certification obtained within four months of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Obtain CT license within one year of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of medical imaging exams.
• Understanding of electronic medical records.
• Multitasking and teamwork driven.
• Accountable and professional.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and learn additional tasks as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and general population.
• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of X-ray and CT scanners in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• Position patients for X-ray and CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, when applicable.
• Evaluate X-rays and CT scans for technical quality and maintain accurate patient records.
• Explain X-ray and CT procedures to patients and monitor accessory equipment.
• Demonstrate flexibility and proficiency to support system needs including the OR and off-site x-ray needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and communicate effectively.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, and some repetitive motions.
• Work environment may expose you to radiation.
