<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>
<p>The Perinatal Therapist performs critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and diagnostics through both physician directives and respiratory care protocols.  He/she performs selected cross training activities and precepting of students and new staff as directed.  He/she performs external transport of critical care neonates as assigned.</p><ul><li>Assesses respiratory status and needs of the patient.</li><li>Sets up and maintains respiratory equipment per policy.</li><li>Administers respiratory therapy procedures, understanding the purpose and possible side effects associated with each.</li><li>Evaluates patient’s response to interventions.</li><li>Demonstrates leadership skills.</li></ul>
