Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients

Administer chemotherapy, IV therapy, and supportive treatments safely

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage symptoms

Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans

Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary care teams

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

Valid North Carolina RN license or compact RN license

Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Minimum of 2 years’ Oncology or hematology nursing experience
