Key Responsibilities of the RN PICU:

Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex and life-threatening conditions

Monitor and manage ventilators, invasive lines, and continuous infusions

Perform detailed patient assessments and respond rapidly to changes in condition

Administer medications and titrate drips per provider orders

Collaborate closely with pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams

Support and educate patients’ families during high-acuity care

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and infection-control standards

Requirements:

2 years of recent PICU RN experience

Active RN license (Colorado or compact eligible)

BLS and PALS certifications required

Strong pediatric assessment and critical-thinking skills

Experience with ventilators and critically ill pediatric patients

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
