Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist

Perform comprehensive PT evaluations to determine functional deficits, mobility limitations, and therapy goals
Develop individualized, evidence‑based plans of care that target strength, balance, gait, and functional movement
Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, gait training, and therapeutic exercise
Track objective outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve patient goals
Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly
Collaborate with PTAs, OTs, SLPs, nursing, and physicians to optimize outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and long‑term wellness

Requirements of the Physical Therapist

Active Wisconsin PT license
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current BLS certification
Recent clinical experience in inpatient/outpatient/rehab settings preferred
Strong communication, organization, and patient‑education skills
