Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant:
Carry out PT treatment plans to enhance mobility and function
Provide therapeutic exercises, balance training, and patient instruction
Accurately document sessions and communicate progress to the PT
Support safe, patient-centered care across settings
Requirements for the Physical Therapist Assistant:
Active Maryland PTA license
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 1 year of recent PTA experience
Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
