Key Responsibilities of the RN – Oncology:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology medications
Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
Coordinate care with oncologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling hazardous medications

Requirements:

Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
BLS certification required; OCN preferred
Strong knowledge of oncology treatments and protocols
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
