This assignment offers a weekly blended rate of $2,120, based on three 12‑hour day shifts per week. This role is ideal for an experienced L&D RN who excels in providing safe, compassionate, and patient‑centered care throughout labor, birth, and immediate postpartum recovery.

Key Responsibilities of the L&D RN

Provide continuous monitoring and assessment during labor and delivery
Monitor fetal heart tracings, contraction patterns, and maternal vital signs
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies
Administer labor medications including oxytocin and analgesia/epidural support
Educate mothers and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate closely with OB physicians, midwives, NICU staff, and anesthesia teams
Promote a supportive, safe, and family‑centered birthing environment

Requirements of the L&D RN

Active Virginia RN license
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP
Minimum 2 years’ recent Labor & Delivery experience
