Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
• Location: West Union, IA 52175 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
• Unit: OB (Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (4:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Float Requirements: May float to Med/Surg as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990-$2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in WI or compact state (Iowa RN license accepted)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent OB/Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and Med/Surg settings required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must begin medical compliance process within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a low-risk OB setting
• Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the birthing process
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care
• Float to Med/Surg unit as needed, supporting a diverse patient population
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic (preferred)
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
