Travel Nursing Job Details
- Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment
- Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site
- Start Date: November 13, 2025
- End Date: December 25, 2025
- Contract Length: 6 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,560 - $2,750
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening); typically three day shifts plus one off shift per week (off shift options: 08:45-19:15, 10:45-21:15, or 12:45-23:15)
- Call Requirement: One weekday call per week and one 24-hour call per four-week schedule block
- Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Float Requirement: None
- Transportation: Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessible. Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November to April.
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a large academic Level 1 Trauma Center
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Ability to circulate all specialties except CVOR cases
- Ability to scrub all General, GU, GYN, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Thoracic, and Vascular cases
- Complete work history (including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission
- Explanation required for any employment gaps over 90 days
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality perioperative and intraoperative nursing care in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
- Circulate and scrub for a diverse range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Demonstrate flexibility to support patient care and unit needs, including on-call and holiday coverage
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate clinical documentation and patient care coordination
- Comply with hospital policies and maintain complete employment documentation
