ICU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Mesa, Arizona (85202) – Phoenix metro area
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: May 4, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
- On Call: Schedule determined by facility
- Weekend Schedule: To be determined by facility
ICU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
- Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- No license restrictions or disciplinary actions
- Flu vaccination required (declinations considered)
- Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license are not eligible
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, perform interventions, and operate advanced critical care equipment
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards
