Travel Nursing Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Newburgh, Indiana (47630) – near Evansville
• Healthcare Setting: Observation Unit (32 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (option for 48 upon request)
• Start Dates: 10/6/2025 or 10/20/2025 (bi-weekly orientation)
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends per six weeks; every other holiday
• Float Requirement: May float to nearby campuses (with notice)
• Scrub Color: Navy blue (no competing logos)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active compact RN license (Indiana or multistate)
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel RN assignment
• Trauma Level II hospital experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
• Proficiency in Telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation (must pass tele tests)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Peripheral IV insertion and management of stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for chest pain, abdominal pain, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness, and placement-awaiting patients
• Perform thorough assessments, utilize critical thinking, and deliver timely interventions
• Insert peripheral IVs and manage stable medication drips
• Interpret telemetry and 12-lead EKGs accurately
• Float to other units or campuses within your skillset as needed
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Support teaching hospital initiatives, including precepting students and onboarding new hires
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
