- Facility Size: 174 licensed beds
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/10/2026)
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1680
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele or PCU RN experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Strong PCU nursing skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, chest tube management, IV therapy
- Ability to float to other healthcare units or facilities in the region as needed
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients with diagnoses including stroke, heart failure, chest pain, COPD, GI disorders, liver failure, and renal conditions
- Manage critical care drips (Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Heparin) and blood products
- Perform and manage procedures: PIV starts, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG, Hemovac, JP drains, Foley), and PCA pumps
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies appropriately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists
- Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training to maintain high standards of patient care
