Labor & Delivery RN Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Location: Issaquah, Washington 98029 (Seattle area)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$2050
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: February 23, 2026
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (8 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms)
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1-3
- Float: May float to Post-Partum and NICU based on nursing skills
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (no first-time travelers)
- Active Washington or Compact RN license
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, OB-GYN, pre-op, post-op, and couplet care
- Ability to float to Post-Partum and NICU units as needed
- Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
- Proof of permanent residence (driver’s license preferred)
- Completion of prescreen questionnaire
- Reliable transportation required
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, including assessment, monitoring, and support throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and attend all deliveries as required
- Circulate for C-sections and provide pre-op and post-op care
- Administer blood products, medications (Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate), and manage epidural and PCA pumps
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, wound assessment and care, and IUPC placement/calibration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Float to Post-Partum and NICU units as needed
