Travel RN Job Details – Telemetry Nurse

Location: Springfield, IL 62769 (Illinois nursing jobs)
Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (Telemetry RN)
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Shift: 12 Hour Nights (NOC)
Hours per Week: 36
Assignment Duration: 21 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 3/15/2026)
Specialties: Telemetry, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, IDD
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1950 - $2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse – Illinois)
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing experience
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend (EOW)
Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, delivering high-quality telemetry nursing care
Administer medications, treatments, and clinical interventions as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate nursing actions
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
