ICU Nursing Job Details

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state license (Santa Fe healthcare jobs)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
  • TNCC certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and sensitivity to patient rights

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver patient care for ICU patients
  • Maintain quality, efficient, and safe care in accordance with ICU standards
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and crisis situations
  • Ensure accurate documentation and clear communication with the healthcare team
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing nursing education and training
