Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state (New Jersey RN jobs)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; Interventional Radiology experience preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Interventional Radiology Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
  • Monitor patient status and vital signs, ensuring safety and comfort throughout IR procedures
  • Assist physicians and the IR team with procedure preparation, intra-procedural support, and post-procedure care
  • Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times
