Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Mason City, IA 50401 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site
• Unit: Medical Unit 4E
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 15, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every third weekend, every other holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state (Iowa RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to complete all required onboarding health and competency screenings (2 Step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Fit Test, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines, 10 Panel Drug Screen)
• Successful background checks and completion of professional training

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate and support patients and families on care plans and health management
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
