Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Kansas City, KS 66160 (Kansas nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (CVOR) – Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Start Date: November 2, 2025
- End Date: February 1, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (may include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts; flexible schedule)
- Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends as needed
- On-Call Requirements: Approximately 1 weekend per month
- Holiday Requirements: Required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2800 - $3000
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Kansas RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Strong recent scrub and circulating experience in cardiac surgeries
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Nicotine-free facility policy compliance
- Willingness to float to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD as needed
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Scrub and circulate during cardiac surgeries, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Float to other operating rooms and departments as required
- Maintain compliance with hospital and healthcare facility policies, including nicotine-free requirements
