Dialysis RN Job Details
- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job)
- Healthcare Setting: Dialysis Unit
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: April 28, 2025
- End Date: July 28, 2025
- Schedule: Day-Evening shifts; Three 12-hour or four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday – Friday)
- Hours per Week: 36–40 (Guaranteed 36 hours)
- On-Call: Every third Saturday, 7am – 3pm
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880–$2020
Dialysis Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent dialysis nursing experience required
- Hemodialysis experience required; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system is a plus
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Dialysis Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to individuals receiving dialysis treatments
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after dialysis procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document all patient care activities in the Epic EMR system
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures and ongoing clinical care
