Registered Nurse – Psychiatric Travel Nursing Job (Night Shift) in Grand Rapids, MI

Psychiatric RN Job Details

Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 - $2,130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience, preferably in psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health nursing
BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document progress
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Participate in crisis intervention and support de-escalation efforts as needed
