• Location: Jackson, Mississippi 39216
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – MedSurg Hematology/Oncology Unit
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
• Experience in large healthcare facilities with high acuity patients preferred
• Proficiency with lines, chest tubes, and hematology/oncology patient care
• EPIC EMR charting proficiency required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemption accepted with documentation)

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to hematology/oncology patients in a 32-bed unit
• Administer medications and monitor patients, including chemotherapy (training provided)
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:5, adjusted for acuity)
• Titrate drips (heparin, amiodarone as needed)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team—nurse managers, educators, respiratory therapists
• Float between MedSurg units as needed, within clinical skillset
• Participate in block scheduling and weekend/holiday rotations
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
