Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Little Rock, AR 72205 (Arkansas nursing jobs)
- Facility: Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (14 LDRs, 3,500 deliveries/year)
- Assignment Length: 13-week contract (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/22/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
- Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays
- Orientation: 2-3 days
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs provided
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2220
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Compact RN license or Arkansas Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Experience in Level 1 trauma hospital preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic documentation and Pyxis medication systems
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to high-risk obstetric (OB) patients in antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum settings
- Circulate for C-sections and assist in triage, PACU, and operating rooms as needed
- Initiate IVs, draw labs, and administer medications (including Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin Infusions)
- Stabilize newborns and provide comprehensive support to mothers throughout the birthing process
- Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units as required
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including Certified Nurse Midwives, CNAs, and unit clerks
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EHR system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies regarding dress code, jewelry, hair, and nails
