ER RN Job Details – Urbana, IL
- Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
- Facility Setting: Emergency Department (ER)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: November 24, 2025
- End Date: February 21, 2026
- Shift: Night Shift, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1980 - $2030 per week
- Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour if called)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care within the scope of RN practice
- Implement emergency procedures and evidence-based nursing practices
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families
- Adapt and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all nursing care provided
- Promote patient and staff safety by following established safety protocols and promptly addressing hazards
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families to foster a supportive environment
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development
- Meet all departmental competencies and engage in continuous learning opportunities
