• Location: McAllen, TX (78503) – South Texas healthcare jobs in a friendly, sunny community
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (14 L&D beds, 9 Antepartum beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Duration: 12-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Open Positions: 2 Labor & Delivery RN jobs
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical skills, assertive, friendly, and a critical thinker
• Ability to float to Post-Partum unit as needed

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate patient care to laboring mothers and families
• Assist in operating room procedures including C-sections
• Monitor fetal heart rates and perform assessments using ultrasound and fetal heart monitors
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team: RNs, CSTs, AP Nurses
• Maintain accurate documentation with Meditech EMR
• Follow Labor & Delivery unit policies and clinical guidelines
• Participate in weekend and on-call rotations as required
