ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing
• Location: Texas City, TX 77591 (Houston metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Main Hospital, 3rd Floor, 18-bed Intensive Care Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360–$1460
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Floating Areas: Emergency Department (ED), Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
• Weekend & On-Call: Required

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Proficient in Meditech EMR
• Strong critical care skills: medication titration, ventilator management, restraints management
• Preferred: Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), Impella, and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Ability to float to Emergency Department and Med Surg units as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in an 18-bed ICU
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, titratable medications, and advanced critical care equipment
• Perform and assist with procedures such as Artic Sun therapy and use of restraints
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and interventions using Meditech EMR
• Follow hospital policies, unit guidelines, and HCA iCARE values
• Participate in weekend and on-call rotations as scheduled
