ICU Nursing Job Details

• Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 – New Mexico nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks travel contract
• Shift: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
• Start Date: 12/1/2025
• End Date: 3/2/2026
• Scrub Color: Any
• EMR System: MedHost
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780 - $1,910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license – Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Proficiency with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene preferred
• Ability to float to ER and Med Surg departments as needed
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including ventilator management, titration of drips, and hygiene care
• Float to Emergency Room and Med Surg units as required
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, document care, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Work scheduled holidays as needed
