ICU Nursing Job Details
- Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 – New Mexico nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks travel contract
- Shift: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
- Start Date: 12/1/2025
- End Date: 3/2/2026
- Scrub Color: Any
- EMR System: MedHost
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780 - $1,910 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license – Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
- Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Proficiency with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene preferred
- Ability to float to ER and Med Surg departments as needed
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including ventilator management, titration of drips, and hygiene care
- Float to Emergency Room and Med Surg units as required
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, document care, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Work scheduled holidays as needed
