Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401
- Assignment Length: 16-26 weeks
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- End Date: June 14, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- On-Site Position
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
- Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November through April
Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on the M5/McClure 5 unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient interactions and interventions in Epic EMR
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and ongoing professional development
- Maintain schedule flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs
- Ensure all work history information is complete for submission (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
