ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, Iowa 50314
• Healthcare Setting: ICU Unit / ICU Flex Pool
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/9/2025 – End: 2/7/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930 - $1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Critical Care RN Certification (CCRN) preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements: background check, drug screen, health screenings, competency testing

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized ICU equipment
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
