Job Details – Sioux City Nursing Jobs
- Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Sioux City, Iowa 51104
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Unit: Neuro-Ortho (8SW)
- Start Date: November 24, 2025
- End Date: February 23, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
- Active Iowa RN license or Compact State RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year
- Updated work history/resume
- RN license verification
- Copies of required certifications
- One supervisory reference
- Proof of taxable address (Driver's License, Utility Bill, Lease, etc.)
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in the Neuro-Ortho unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge planning
- Participate in unit activities, including charge nurse and precepting duties
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work every other weekend and accommodate holiday scheduling as needed
