Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Resource Pool – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN position
• Start Date: November 30, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in medical/surgical telemetry nursing
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend/holiday as scheduled
• Completion of all onboarding requirements (background check, competency testing, health screenings, etc.)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to patients in a fast-paced med/surg telemetry environment
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform comprehensive assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
