Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Vicksburg, MS 39183 (Mississippi CVICU nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Start Date: December 1, 2025
End Date: March 2, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680

CVICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Mississippi or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience with cardio open heart training (must be detailed on resume)
Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to cardiac patients in the CVICU, including post-open heart surgery care
Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using EMR systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Respond to cardiac emergencies and deliver advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Float to other hospital units as needed
