CVOR RN Job Details
- Location: Madison, WI 53792 (Wisconsin healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN position
- Facility: Magnet-designated, nationally ranked hospital – consistently recognized for excellence in Wisconsin
- Start Date: December 8, 2025
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Duration: 17-week travel nursing contract
- Shift: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts (06:30–19:00; occasional 09:40–22:10)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday with weekday and weekend call (every 4th–5th weekend)
- Hours per Week: 36
CVOR RN Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent acute care experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery or Acuity Adaptable units (within last 3 years)
- Active Wisconsin or compact state Registered Nurse license (required at submission)
- BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience in Level I or large hospitals with high-acuity, complex surgeries
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Ability to pass telemetry and competency exams
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Assist with complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries: CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and more
- Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call rotations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other clinical units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices in clinical care
