ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Unit: Emergency Department (ER)
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 1, 2026
- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (multiple shifts available)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend days per 6 weeks
- On Call Requirement: 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks
- Floating: May be asked but unlikely due to census
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
- Hourly Pay Rate: $80/hour
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
- Current TNCC certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire
- Successful completion of organizational and Emergency Department-specific competency validation
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver routine and complex care to ER patients independently
- Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and health management
- Delegate tasks and assignments appropriately to other healthcare providers
- Participate in annual competency verification and ongoing professional development
