- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont healthcare jobs)
- Unit: M7 Birth – High Risk Labor & Delivery
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- End Date: June 15, 2026
- Duration: 26-week nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (occasional day shift coverage required)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every weekend required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2520–$2700
- Transportation: Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a large academic or hospital setting
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications (or equivalent)
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Ability to work every weekend and flexible with scheduling
- Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires recommended (November–April)
- Complete work history (including bed count, EMR, facility type) and explanations for employment gaps over 90 days
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to high-risk laboring patients in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring equipment and techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR system
- Adapt to changing schedules, including occasional day shift coverage
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development for travel nurses
