Mississippi LPN Job Details

• Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care
• Location: Baldwyn, Mississippi (38824) – Northeast Mississippi
• Healthcare Setting: Long Term Acute Care Facility (LTAC)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:45pm – 7:08am, 30-minute paid break if on unit)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1360–$1460
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/3/2025 – End: 3/1/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Float Requirement: Yes, to units within competency
• Weekend/Holiday: Required

LPN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with IV certification
• Minimum 2 years of LTAC or long term care nursing experience
• Proven experience caring for ventilated and trach patients
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; strong first-time travelers considered
• Experience in facilities with 400+ beds or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months
• Full scheduling flexibility and availability required
• Compliance documents due 7 days before start date

LPN Responsibilities in Long Term Care

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to geriatric, post-acute, long-term care, and rehab patients
• Manage ventilated and trach patients as part of the LTAC nursing team
• Float to other units within competency as needed
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and ancillary healthcare staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Adhere to all facility policies, including mask requirements if vaccine declined
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
