Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Portage, MI 49002 – Experience Michigan nursing jobs in a welcoming community near Kalamazoo, with beautiful parks and excellent schools.
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 22, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Territory: North/East Kalamazoo County, with occasional coverage in Western Calhoun/Barry County
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1920–$1970 per week

RN Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan nursing license preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Home Health RN experience
• Proficient in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) and OASIS documentation
• Current BLS certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring high-quality and compassionate service
• Perform patient assessments and create individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed
• Accurately document care and patient progress using HCHB and OASIS systems
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and self-care techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Travel within assigned territory to meet patient needs
