Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Cardio Thoracic Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend & Holiday Rotation: Required (every other weekend and rotating holidays)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification recommended
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry or Cardio Thoracic nursing
• Clinical proficiency in EKG interpretation and medication titration
• Ability to float to other general medical units as needed

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiac and thoracic conditions, including MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, and post-surgical cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips (Phillips monitors) and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Titrate cardiac drips (Cardizem, heparin) as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care techs
• Assist with respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen) as needed
• Accurately document patient care in the EPIC electronic health record system
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, dress code (any color scrubs except children/cartoon prints), and orientation requirements
