PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Manchester, New Hampshire (03102) – Access to New England healthcare jobs, city amenities, and scenic outdoor recreation
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (HVIU/D200)
• Number of Beds: 24-bed PCU
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days and nights)
• Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780–$1,910
• Employment Type: Travel nursing, on-site

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Hampshire or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or cardiac stepdown nursing
• Proficient in telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with post-TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman procedures, and cardiac drips
• Familiarity with Allscripts electronic documentation system preferred

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 24-bed cardiac stepdown/PCU unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry and cardiac rhythms
• Care for patients post-procedures including TAVR, ablations, Watchman, STEMI, pacemakers, and CardioMEMS
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: charge nurses, patient care techs, and monitor techs
• Float to similar nursing units as needed
• Document all patient care using Allscripts EHR
• Provide excellent patient experience and uphold hospital and nursing standards
