Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
• Healthcare Setting: Multi-specialty Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 22, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend, holidays as required
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Parking: On-site available
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (required)
• Active Alabama RN license or Compact Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses)
• Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in Med/Surg Tele specialty)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a multi-specialty Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and care for patients with acute medical and surgical needs, including telemetry and dialysis
• Support surgical patient populations, including orthopedic and general surgery cases
• Focus on pain management, mobility, and prevention of complications
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and healthcare staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Float to other units or hospitals as required to meet patient care needs
