Key Job Details – OR RN Travel Assignment
- Location: El Paso, TX 79925 (Texas nursing jobs)
- Facility: Level 2 Trauma Center with 10 Operating Rooms and 2 Endoscopy Suites
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 11/17/2025
- End Date: 2/16/2026
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800
- On-Call: Required (weekends and nights rotation)
- Weekend Requirement: Approximately 4 shifts per month
- Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
- EMR System: MediTech
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Clinical experience with robotics, neuro, orthopedic, urology, and vascular surgical procedures
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical support skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment and take initiative
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes
- Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures, including robotics, neuro, ortho, urology, vascular, and exploratory laparotomies
- Document patient care accurately using MediTech EMR
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency cases
- Ensure efficient room turnover and adherence to hospital policies
- Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the highest standards of nursing care
