Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Rosedale, Maryland 21237 (Baltimore area)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 23, 2025
- End Date: March 24, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 2 out of 3 winter holidays plus other holidays during contract
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Telemetry nursing skills required)
- Scrubs: Navy Blue (not provided)
- Flu Vaccine: Required for all healthcare employees (no exemptions)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- Active Compact RN license or Maryland Registered Nurse license
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Experience caring for patients undergoing gender affirmation surgery preferred
- Cerner electronic charting experience preferred
- Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Two supervisor references required
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Flu vaccination required for all healthcare staff
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, central lines, and surgical drains
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, and rapid response
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, including for gender affirmation surgery patients
- Utilize Cerner for electronic health documentation
- Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
- Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
- Float to similar nursing units as required
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and vaccination requirements
