- End Date: May 11, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1720
- Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions considered)
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
- Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Must provide 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
- ER observation/holding or MS/tele experience required
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in the Emergency Department Observation Unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias
- Provide PCU/Stepdown level care, including IV insulin and heparin protocols
- Manage renal failure and administer/titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Administer blood products and manage tracheostomies
- Participate in rapid response team interventions
- Perform wound care and manage wound vacs
- Provide non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy)
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
