Registered Nurse Job Details

• Unit: Neuro Trauma/Neurosurgical ICU (17 beds) – Surgical Services C9I
• Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 15, 2026
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC); every other weekend and holiday required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue (black bottoms allowed)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience; neuro trauma/neurosurgical ICU experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to neuro trauma and neurosurgical ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with EVDs, lumbar drains, post spine surgery, craniotomy, stroke, trauma, and spinal cord injuries
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment
