Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Sioux City, Iowa 51104
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (6SW Post Critical Unit)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner Powerchart
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 – $2,020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Proficient in titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nifedipine, Heparin, Lidocaine)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Sioux City, IA
• Submission of work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and 1 supervisory reference

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those with CHF, post-angiogram, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion, and stroke
• Monitor, manage, and titrate cardiac drips as required
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner Powerchart EMR
• Float within the same nursing discipline across local campuses as needed
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
